Idara Maarif-e-Islami

Idara Maarif-e-Islami is a prominent academic and research institution founded in 1963 in Karachi by the renowned Islamic scholar Syed Abul Ala Maududi, with the aim of establishing a strong intellectual foundation for the revival of Islamic thought in the modern age. While the initial establishment took place in Karachi, Syed Maududi always envisioned the creation of a central research institution in Lahore under his direct supervision; consequently, a major branch was later established in Mansoorah, Lahore, which became the principal center of its activities.

Idara Maarf-e-Islami was established to gather scholars well-versed in both traditional Islamic sciences and contemporary disciplines so that they could respond effectively to modern intellectual and ideological challenges.
